Web Preview Plug-in
The Web Preview plug-in previews the current document in an embedded web browser. EmEditor can be customized to always display this plug-in for specified configurations.
The Web Preview plug-in is installed by default with EmEditor Professional. This plug-in previews the current document with an embedded web browser based on Microsoft Edge.
To use the Web Preview plug-in: click the web preview button on the Plug-ins bar. Or on the Tools menu, point to Plug-ins, and then click Web Preview. The Web Preview custom bar will appear. Open any web page file in EmEditor, and the web preview appears in the custom bar. If you edit the web page and want see change reflected in the custom bar, right-click in the custom bar and select Refresh.
Press the F6 key or ESC key to set the keyboard focus back to the editor. The custom bar position can be set from top, bottom, right or left by right-clicking the plug-in button on the Plug-ins bar, and selecting the Properties.
You can customize the Web Preview Plug-in to appear by default with selected configurations. Right-click the Plug-in button on the Plug-ins bar, and select Properties. From there, select the option, “Automatically Display the Web Preview for Selected Configurations” and select any configurations for which you would like the Web Preview to appear automatically. On this menu you can also change the custom bar position. The Custom Bar Position can be set from the top, bottom, right or left.
