Filter Bar
With the Filter Bar, you can filter lines to only those that contain a specified string, so that you only see the lines that include that string. As you type the searched string in the Filter text box on the Filter Bar, EmEditor will begin searching the document and show only the lines that include the searched string. Click the Abort button on the Filter Bar to cancel the filtering and restore the view of the original document. You can also easily change the searched string by clicking the Refresh button on the filter toolbar.
Press Esc key to return the focus back to the editor. Regular Expressions, Incremental Search, Match Case, Use Escape Sequence, Match Whole Word filtering options are also available on the Filter bar.
If you have many filter strings, you can import a file containing the filter strings separated by newlines. Just drag-and-drop the file into the Filter field.
