Hey Patrick, sorry to answer so late. Thank you sooooo much for your help. It works just wonderfully. Great help! This makes it a lot easier…I first misunderstood your first answer, the checkbox did the trick, but I didn’t find it since I use a localized version of emeditor…now the macro is even a lot more comfortable. Thank you so much again, I really appreciate it!
thanks so much for the answer! i rather meant, that the cursor should always stay vertically in the middle of the window (if the content is larger than the window). And instead of having the cursor moved up and down, only the window should scroll…ctrl+↑ and ctrl↓ also moves the cursor up and down…
just wanted to post the same issue. macro “runs at events” does not work on my system as well…is there any way to downgrade to the last version that it worked until the bug is fixed?
hi, thanks for the hint…it’s not really correctly translated though…in german it would be something like: “Horizontale Cursor-Position beibehalten”. but thanks so much. i really appreciate your quick support…
thanks for the quick reply…unfortunately i use the german version of EmEditor and the checkbox does not appear in the Tools -> Customize menu (“Tools” -> “Anpassen”)…maybe i should install the english version…but anyway, could it be that there are differences between the localized versions?
the feature seems to have been vanished from the customize menue…maybe i am just to blindsighted to find it? could you tell me where i can find this feature in the current version 15.8.2? thanks so much!

Even though it’s 7 years later…I definately have the same question and would like to link this thread to post #20287… This is a VERY handy feature and saves a lot of cursor movements. I usually tend to operate with the keyboard as much possible and avoid placing cursors by mouse. So if there was a way to get this feature in EmEditor…this would be absolutely lovely and I am sure that this feature wil be loved by thousands…thanks so much!
