Pressing one key is handier than pressing two keys.
F4 is occupied by Running Macro now.
Maybe,following the habits of MS Office is good.
F4 can be assigned to repeat the last action,
Alt + F8 assigned to Running Macro.Yes,I strongly agree with mguttman！
In Windows Registry,I find,No matter version 3/4/5/…/10/11,EmEditor is always reg to “EmEditor v3” item.
[HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareEmSoftEmEditor v3]
So it causes what mguttman said.
Maybe version 11 should reg to
[HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareEmSoftEmEditor v11]
Than V.11 will be at peace with old version.

Checking the option(Regular Expressions Can Match New Line Characters) will make some search very slow.
Event if value for the Additional Lines to Search for Regular Expression option is Zero.I found what cause this:

“MatchDotNL”=dword:00000001
or
Tools/Customize/Regular Expressions Can Match New Line Characters

Yes,beta 27 really reach a acceptable speed.
UltraEdit’s speed(Scroll smoothly,Replace promptly) still puzzles me.How it can reach so speed?EmEditor Professional 7.00 beta 26 makes some progress in speed.
But Regex replace for big file is still slow.
Comparing with UltraEdit,you will find making same Regex replace UltraEdit is very rapid.Example:

It takes EmEditor several minutes.
It takes UltraEdit less than one second,almost instantaneously.to some .html files is slow too.

You will find scrolling slowly,replacing slowly.

I think,maybe “Shift + Delete” is more easy than “ALT + DELETE” pressed by one hand ,and the other hand operates mouse.Thanks for Yutaka’s reply.

You want the customized shortcut key make FindBar show.
2.When FindBar show
You want the customized shortcut key make FindBar set the focus to the text box on FindBar,rather than make FindBar hide.

1.If the customized shortcut key for FindBar is set (available),actions just like above.
2.If the customized shortcut key for FindBar is void(not available),actions just like beta5.It is a doable solution?
