Oh, I see some of this info down on the status bar.
It would be nice to have an official File|Properties… dialog, though.
Thanks, and Happy New Year.

Garret WilsonParticipantThat seems to have fixed it. Thanks.
But I would expect the Help|About dialog to indicate the RC1 release—what if I forget what version I’m using and want to check the About box?
Garret WilsonParticipantDo you have a roadmap for bug fix releases? Thanks.
P.S. For the sake of accuracy: in my original post I should have said that the screen resolution is 1920×1200.
Garret WilsonParticipantThis morning when I was installing EmEditor 7 final release, I had the bright idea of changing the key mappings so that Ctrl+PageDown would go to the next tab and that Ctrl+PageUp would go to the previous tab using Help|Keyboard map…. This worked! Finally I have an editor that does almost everything I want it to do, the way I want it to do!
I’d like to make a humorous note about changing the key mappings, however. To assign Ctrl+PageDown to the “next window” function, I can’t press them simultaneously—I must first press Ctrl and then PageDown. Why? Because if I press Ctrl+PageDown simultaneously, it actually changes the tabs in the keyboard mapping dialog! (In other words, Ctrl+PageUp and Ctrl+PageDown are obviously standard keys for this functionality, as it’s already mapped into the configuration UI via the underlying SDK!)
Cheers,

Garret WilsonParticipantHey, it works now in EmEditor 7.00! Thanks!
EmEditor has now replaced TextPad on my machine. Last night I send a message to all the developers at my client’s office telling them to check out the new EmEditor release.
Good work!

Garret WilsonParticipantNotepad uses Lucida Console and doesn’t have a problem showing U+2045.
Eclipse uses Courier New and doesn’t have a problem showing U+2045.
Why does EmEditor have a problem with this character?
Garret WilsonParticipantSo I configured plugins and turned off “automatically display the web preview for selected configurations”. Now it only appears when I tell it to.
But once I tell it to come on, it stays on for *all* tabs, which means when I tab to “myfile.myext” with an unrecognized file type, it tries to download the file!
The user experience of this needs more work.
Garret WilsonParticipantI’ve tried both Courier New 10 and Lucida Console 10, the latter of which is used in Notepad. I can copy and paste from EmEditor to Notepad, and it shows up fine there.
It does show up in MS UI Gothic—but I need a monospaced font!
Strangely enough, it shows up fine in the EmEditor “Recently Used Characters” section in the “Insert Special Character” dialog.
Do you plan on giving us a better “Insert Special Character” dialog, by the way? I’d like something similar to Unipad.
Thanks,
Garret
