Sorry.
1 and 2 are the normal Find/Replace.
3 is Find in Files.LTTParticipantHi,
Will this issue get resolved in the future?
EmEditor currently cannot deal perfectly with these larger-than-4-hex-digit unicode characters:
Regular expression x{XXXXX} (longer than 4 hex digits) cannot be used to search for these characters.
These characters cannot be counted correctly by using the two plug-ins.LTTParticipantOh, I’m very sorry about my absence. For personal reasons I couldn’t come for RCs in time. And not until 6/21 did I have enough time to do test to find more flaws in colors.
I will try my best to assist next time.
Yes, at least I should have given a brief reply in time.LTTParticipantI’m using 7.01 (6/17) now. Should I go back to RC1? But RC1 is not available now (404).
LTTParticipantHi, I’m back.
Thanks. But not perfect yet.See the screenshots: (Please note the bookmarked lines.)
Similar issue on “Matched parentheses/brackets”, when its background color is set to transparent, and the background color of “Current line” is not transparent or white.
And the recognition of comments should be more precise:
LTTParticipantEverything is OK now. (Only the “List of Recent Files to Insert” hasn’t been exported. But it’s unimportant.)
Thank YOU!LTTParticipantThanks!

One more thing I can report is that, in eeCommon.ini, these items also lost their Size data:
MainMenu-Size
TrayMenu*-Size
UserMenu*-Size
Attr*-Size*-Size values exist only in INI files, and not necessary in the Registry.
I mean, the *-Size values listed above cannot be found in my eeCommon.ini.

Please restart EmEditor and try Export again.Yes, that was just what I did. I checked to ensure no process of EmEditor or Emedtray remained.

Can you make sure INI files are used? You can check from the About dialog box on the Help menu.Yes.
Details:
I customized the three list menus: (each to a submenu)
Recent Files
Macros
Fonts
And I customized the trayicon menu.When using ini, Recent Files and Macros are missing. Fonts are retained. But all the three are no longer submenus.
Trayicon menu turned to the default.
Recent Folders and Insert list are also missing.In eeCommon.ini (when just exported and before running EmEditor):
Only these keys are retained in [Macros] section:
Events0=16
Events1=0
Events2=0
Events3=0
Events4=0
Events5=0
UsedEvents=0
In [Recent File List] section, there are only Attr keys (unsorted). No File keys.LTTParticipantYutaka wrote:
If the time stamp is not changed, EmEditor cannot detect the change.Oh yes, that’s the point! Thanks!
I tested on some other editors. Only a few (e.g. Notepad2, UltraEdit) detect the content(maybe the size) change.
LTTParticipantChanged by Another Program: Prompt.
Monitor Interval: 5.I tested further and found this problem happened only when the content of the file(s) was changed by McAfee VirusScan itself. If I use Notepad2 to change the content of the file(s), EmEditor will prompt. But if the content of the same file(s) is changed by McAfee VirusScan, EmEditor will never know, no matter how long I wait.

And a suggestion:
I hope clicking Select button in Define Configurations dialog won’t close the dialog. This will be convenient for deleting/renaming the current configuration.Yutaka wrote:
A configuration cannot be deleted when it is in use.Yes. So this is what I mean by the suggestion. — If the Select button doesn’t close the dialog, I can change the current configuration by selecting another, and then delete/rename the previous immediately, without opening the dialog again.
I know it’s trivial. Just hope for a little more convenience.January 26, 2008 at 10:06 pm in reply to: Infos of cursor position and bookmarks are disturbed when… #5376LTTParticipantOk. Enjoy your travel! Have a wonderful time!

I want one more if you’ll consider:

How about this? Not only for shortcuts, but also for counting.LTTParticipantWhen the line number area is displayed:
