To clarify – perhaps we talk about different things:
* Flickering of text when outline guide is enabled (absent in 7.00.2):
It is intensive and affects the whole text
and it appears during normal text input.
* Flickering of current line in text (still there in 7.00.2):
It affects only current line of text
and you have to type extremely fast, therefore normally not visible.
* Flickering of text in outline sidebar (still there in 7.00.2):
It is intensive and affects whole outline text
and it appears during normal text input.CrissMemberDear Yutaka,
thank you very much!
Outline is now without flickering and I have it now enabled all the time.Only one thing left regarding flickering – but that’s really a minor cosmetic thing:
I see the same like danderson:

“What I have found is that when the outline plugin is not active, only the current line is affected. The easiest way to reproduce is to open a text file, type as fast as possible (e.g. aldskfja;dlkfjad;lkjdsa;lk) or hold down the delete key. It’s much more prevalent when the outline plugin is enabled.”February 5, 2008 at 12:48 pm in reply to: "Shift+Backspace" does "Delete" instead of "Backspace" #5406CrissMemberI think you can change this easily via
(current) Configuration -> Keyboard
Category: Edit, Commands: Delete
and delete Shift+Backspace from current keys.CrissMemberThanks.
Very nice, didn’t know that EmEditor can do this!
EmEditor can do so many things – seems to be always something new to learn.

CrissMemberSorry but I don’t get it:
I enable Auto Indent and set Indent Columns to 2.
When I then indent a line with 5 spaces the next line (pressing Enter key at the end of the first line) will be auto indented with 5 spaces and not with 2 spaces.I thought Indent columns will affect the “Increase Line Indent” command. Which should be different to a “Insert Tab” command.
But this seems not to be the case – so how/where can I observe the effect of the Indent Columns setting. Thanks
CrissCrissMemberYes, Emeditor can do columnar selections, but edits on this selection are not applied to all lines of a selection.
F.e. make a column selction of zero width and begin to type:
Emeditor: the text appears on only one line, on the other lines nothing happens.
BoxEditor Plugin or Boxer Texteditor: the typed text appears on all lines – which I think is the natural behaviour.
Theres is a demo at http://www.boxersoftware.com/pgbwin.htm.
If you select some text in box mode and type something, the typed text should appear on all lines. This is for example useful to prefix some lines with something or to replace the prefix with something else, or to fill columns in a table with a default text.
CrissMemberDid you get my email? I hope you can reproduce it with this.
Thanks
