Thanks for the clarification, Yutaka.
I didn’t know that “check updates” command is able to update the helpfile too. I’m OK with that.Keep up the good work with EmEditor, my favorite editing tool!
AthanParticipantIf I have not missed something in your post, an explorer shell menu extension already exists and is installed automatically. Don’t you have an item named “EmEditor” in Windows Explorer context menu?
If not you probably use 64bit Windows but have installed the 32bit version of EmEditor. In that case, try installing the x64 version (32bit shell extensions don’t work with 64bit host OS).
AthanParticipantFair enough, I’m sure I can live with these minor issues.
Thanks!
AthanParticipantThanks Yutaka for the RC1 release.
It seems you missed the following two issues I reported last month.
1. HTML Toolbar color selector: Select any string in current document (e.g. a color value). Open color selector from html toolbar, select any color and press OK. New color value is inserted in front of the selected text instead overwriting it.
2. “Find in files” dialog is not resizable. Shouldn’t be like “Find” and “Replace” dialogs?
Thanks!
AthanParticipantHi Stefan,
I’ve seen that before posting my suggestion. It works to an extend but honestly, I’d prefer something more robust more configurable and better integrated to editor core; Something up to the EmEditor quality. Maybe in a future release…
Thanks!
AthanParticipantJust a few minor issues:
1. HTML Toolbar color selector: Select any string in current document (e.g. some color value). Open color selector from html toolbar, select a color and press OK. New color value is appended in front of the selected text instead overwriting it.
2. “Find in files” dialog is not resizable. Shouldn’t be like “Find” and “Replace” dialogs?
3. Some plugin dialogs (e.g. Htmltoolbar font and table selectors) still not open centered on screen but on upper left corner.
Thanks
AthanParticipantThanks!
AthanParticipantThank you for implementing my suggestion regarding dialog placement. Really appreciated!
AthanParticipantThanks a lot!
AthanParticipantThat’s why I’m thinking of it as an option.
Thanks for possibly considering it!
AthanParticipantThank you Yutaka for this new beta; it works great so far and I’m really enjoying the inclusion of FindBar into the core. Nice move indeed!
If you don’t mind, I’d like to remind you of my previous suggestion about saving or centering all application’s dialogs position. I’d greatly appreciate if you would consider including such an option in the upcoming release.
Thanks!
AthanParticipantYes, that’s what I meant, and you’ve already answered my question. I hadn’t noticed that the font (and font size) match to that used in editor.
Thanks, once again!
AthanParticipantYou’re right, of course. I missed that FAQ article.
Thanks!
AthanParticipantI’d be grateful if you could implement such a functionality in future builds.
Even a simpler workaround in form of an option to display all dialogs centered inside the EmEditor window, would be enough for me.Thanks for you will to help.
