Sometimes when I open a new file in EE, the following message appears:
---------------------------
EmEditor
---------------------------
ClassFactory cannot supply requested class
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------However, the file is opened without any problem and after I close this message, no other strange things happen (until I open another file, and the same message appears). I got such message only when at least one file was already opened in EE, and opening of the new file was performed by one of the methods:
a) via File->Open;
b) via File -> Recent;
c) via Drag&Drop from Total Commander into EE;
d) via F4 key from Total Commander (which starts EE with the file to open via command line parameter);
e) File->Reload
(I listed only what I tested, there can be other actions that would result with the same message.)File->New and File->Insert do not produce such message.
I’m using EE 9.03 x32, WinXP SP3 Pro x32.

I am not sure why you encountered that issue. Some components must be missing on your Windows. I would suggest reparing your system from Windows CD-ROM.
November 13, 2009 at 5:46 pm #7826CaptainFlintParticipantI installed EE 9.04 and the message does not appear anymore. :-? Maybe it was some temporary DLL mess in the system which disappeared after new installation, or maybe addition of EmEditor directory into \%PATH\% fixed this… Anyway, I’ll keep an eye on it in case the problem appears again.
