There are times I want to quickly view the contents of two different documents/tabs side-by-side, but with the left pane smaller than the right pane (ie. so there is not a big gap between the text on the left pane and the right pane, when the lines are not very long)
Also, it would be very useful if the height of the left/top pane could be specified in columns/lines.
Perfection would be if I could Ctrl+Click a document tab to activate this split screen view with the specified column width and the clicked tab on the right pane.
Then I could use a keyboard shortcut to quicky achieve the above.
NOTE: I know there is the Compare feature and Groups, but I prefer working in a single editor window with tabs.
