I have “Properties for All Configurations -> Files -> New Files -> Newline Character” set to “LF Only (UNIX)”.

Although this works if I use “File -> New -> XYZ” to create the new file, it doesn’t apply to zero byte files opened by EmEditor.

I think maybe it should, because it’s rather unfortunate that creating an empty files from “Windows Explorer -> [Directory Context Menu] -> New -> TXT File” and opening this file in EmEditor doesn’t work intuitively.

I see. On the next version, an empty file will be opened as Newline Character defined in the New Files dialog box of configuration properties.
