hello

I want in when I move my cursor to also move the vertical line that blinks between letters

thus, I wont have to click to move this line there in order to move the this vertical line

in other words, I want to move the vertical line with the mouse as we do with the arrow keys

is there a way to do it?

PS: I hope it wont cause any trouble to other functions, such as, dragging, etc

If I understood you correctly, by “vertical line” you mean usual text cursor (caret), right? In this case what you asked for is impossible (AFAIK).

yes I mean the caret (not the IBeam)

you sure it cant be done with any script?

it would be very handy and ergonomic since it would save us from many clicks

we could just move with the mouse the cursor in the point we want to type and we could start typing without having to click there first

With some external program – maybe. Also it seems to be possible to write such a plugin… But I can’t see how EE’s script could do that.
