Open
Pin to This List
Remove from This List
These 3 commands are available in [Tab Menu] and [Customize: Mouse].
** But they don’t work, unless you open RecentFileList menu and open the right-button menu on an item.
Then, for example,
if the current tab is file A,
and you open RecentFileList menu and open the right-button menu on file B,
and then you open Tab Menu on the current tab (file A) and click [Remove from This List],
** B will be removed, not A!——————–
Put RecentFileList into a tray icon menu,
Open its “More…” submenu and Pin an item,
The menu should be refreshed instantly, or closed.——————–
Put RecentFileList into a submenu of a tray icon menu,
Pin some items,
Now popup this RecentFileList submenu in the tray icon menu,
Press Esc key to close the RecentFileList submenu,
popup the RecentFileList submenu again,
** Each time, a Separator line will be added at the bottom of the RecentFileList submenu, unless you close the whole menu.——————–
And I hope such list menus will scroll automatically when the mouse is hovering on the little triangle (▴▾).May 13, 2017 at 9:27 am #21765Yutaka EmuraKeymasterHello LTT,
> These 3 commands are available in [Tab Menu] and [Customize: Mouse].
I am not sure if I understand your questions. As for your first question, which 3 commands are you talking about?
May 14, 2017 at 11:38 pm #21771LTTParticipantPlease see the image:
I want to use Pin/Unpin… and Remove… in Tab Menu.
I’ll be back if more info is needed.
May 15, 2017 at 3:00 pm #21773Yutaka EmuraKeymasterHello,
I understand. These 3 commands shouldn’t be used for the menu customization or mouse button assignments. EmEditor is designed that these 3 commands can only be used when a menu containing recent file/folder list is opened. I will remove these 3 commands from the list in these dialog boxes on the next version.
Thanks,

Now the clarified procedure on this trivial issue:Setting: (in order to reproduce easily)
Popup if Number of Items Exceeds: 1Customize Tray Icon Menu (1) or (2) like this image:
Now the menu should look like this image:
Pin at least one item. This is necessary.
Now hover and move the mouse between AAA and BBB several times.
Now the menu should look like this image:
** Each time, a Separator line will be added at the bottom of the RecentFileList submenu, unless you close the whole menu.
June 21, 2017 at 11:35 am #21989LTTParticipantNow let’s go on.
I’m still talking about the Tray Icon Menu.Do the same as this image shows:
After “Pin…” or “Remove…” is clicked, the menu stays still as if nothing happened.
This could cause misunderstanding and misoperations: At this moment if one (thinks the operation failed and) does this step again on 3.txt, he is actually doing it on 4.txt now.The menu should be refreshed instantly, or closed.
June 21, 2017 at 11:36 am #21990LTTParticipantAnd I hope such list menus will scroll automatically when the mouse is hovering on the little triangle (▴▾).
Please consider this enhancement.
The menus are getting longer. Auto-scroll would be more convenient. While Clicking could cause misoperations. - AuthorPosts
