It would be useful to be able to use extract on multiple files.
October 5, 2022 at 7:17 am #28577Yutaka EmuraKeymasterThe Extract button is available in Find in Files dialog box. Are you using the latest version of EmEditor?
October 5, 2022 at 9:27 am #28588spirosParticipantIt is in Find, but not in Replace (so one cannot enter a replacement to be run when extracting). On the other hand, on the standard Replace dialog, Extract also appears in Replace.
October 5, 2022 at 1:47 pm #28600Yutaka EmuraKeymasterThe Replace in Files dialog box does NOT include the Extract button. You can use the Find in Files dialog box to open all files containing the search string first, and then use the Replace dialog with the Search All Documents in the Group option.
October 6, 2022 at 2:55 am #28604spirosParticipantIs there any reason why this could not be added as a feature since it already exists in the standard dialog? I mean, it is not that practical to open 1000s of files in order to be able to run the extract regex.
