When we use Extract function, it will create a new tab, ex: test|Untitled-1*.

If change some options need to restart EmEditor.
For example: “Use Temporary File to Reduce Memory Usage”

Now, EmEditor will display “File name、Directory name….error“.

And then the new tab will be cleaned-up, Output window will show:
test | Untitled-1: The changed file ‘…\AppData\Workspace\RecoveryData\test | Untitled-1 (1)’ not found.
Opening a new document without the Undo information.

Unfortunately, I couldn’t reproduce the issue. Which Extract function did you use? Extract in Find dialog box?
