I have a small problem with the way the Encoding of a file is NOT visible within EmEditor. The only option with EmEditor is to reload a file, and you have to choose an Encoding — without knowing what it already is.
In many other Editors I have used, the File menu contains an “Encoding” submenu that shows you what the file is already Encoded as, AND allows you to choose another from the same menu.
Similiarly I do not see any way to convert the file’s Line-Endings to/or from Unix (LF), Mac (CR) and Windows (CR+LF).

You can find current encoding on the status bar.
Also, you can have EmEditor display the return method (CR, LF, or CR+LF) if you customize the status bar (On the Customize dialog > Status > Return Method).
Please let me know if you have further questions.
Thank you!
