    To update

    If you use the installer version, please select Customize Update Checker on the Help menu, and set the Include preview versions in order to update automatically to future preview versions. Preview versions can also be downloaded at Previous versions.

    preview 1 (24.1.901) – May 14, 2024

    – The new Favorites toolbar provides quick access to frequently opened files. To add the current file to the Favorites toolbar, select the Add to Favorites command. Once the toolbar is displayed, you can drag and drop document icons to add, remove, or reorder them in the Favorites toolbar. [PF]
    – Added the Favorite Files to Open (multiple items), Add to Favorites, Favorites Toolbar, and Registration Information commands. [PF]
    – Added the Customize Favorites command. [P]
    – Added the Favorites page to the Customize dialog box. [P]
    – Added the Disable AI (per computer) button to the AI page of the Customize dialog box. [P]
    – “gpt-4o” becomes the default model for OpenAI. [P]
    – The AI macro uses the OpenAI key and model from options specified in the AI page of the Customize dialog box. [P]
    – Added the GetKeyState method to the Shell object. [P]

    preview 2 (24.1.902) – May 19, 2024

    – Fixed issues related to installation registrations on preview 1.
    – Discontinued per-computer installations.
    – Redesigned installers and have removed many options during install.
    – Adjusted the AI assited writing feature.

    preview 5 (24.1.905) – May 20, 2024

    – Added the ability to use the portable version while saving INI files at a specified path. This allows per-computer installations using INI files. The specified path can be specified in the eeUseIni.ini file, saved as UTF-16LE with BOM. For example:
