    If you use the installer version, please select Customize Update Checker on the Help menu, and set the Include beta versions in order to update automatically to future beta versions. Beta versions can also be downloaded at Previous versions.

    beta 1 (21.8.901) – June 13, 2022

    • Fixed an issue where the Commit List plug-in could crash on Windows 7.
    • Fixed a pre-v21.7 issue where EmEditor could crash in Find in Files if a non-ASCII character is included in a search string.
    • Added the Previous/Next Change buttons to title bars when comparing in a split window.
    • Added more detailed comparison coloring view for changed lines when comparing documents.
    • Fixed Syntax Checker issues with a split window.

    beta 2 (21.8.902) – June 16, 2022

    • Fixed a beta 1 bug where clicking the Next/Previous Change buttons could crash EmEditor.
    • Fixed a pre-v21.7 bug where EmEditor could freeze when delete duplicates in multiple selections under a certain condition.
    • Fixed an installer issue where disabling the Explorer Context Menu could also disable the Commit List plug-in.
    • Commit List plug-in: open files as read-only.
    • Comparison results change dynamically while editing documents.

    • The new version allows you to hide or unhide any CSV columns.
    • The new version allows you to aligh any CSV columns right or center.
    • The new version allows you to set row headings as well as column headings (Freeze Panes).
    • The default main menu includes CSV sub menu, where most CSV related commands can be accessed.
    • The new Free version allows you to change the spelling dictionary.
    • The new version of the Commit List plug-in introduces the Changes sidebar where you can view the changes and staged changes (currently, only English (U.S.) and Japanese are supported).
    • Added the EE_EXTRACT_FREQUENT message, the EXTRACT_FREQUENT_INFO structure, and the Editor_ExtractFrequent inline function.
    • Added the ExtractFrequent method to the Selection object.
    • Added the Align number columns right check box to the CSV Options page of the Customize dialog box.

    • Redesigned the Ruler menu, and added new menus when right-clicked on the CSV Column Header and the Top left rectangle area.
    • Changed the keyboard shortcuts for Next Changed Character (Ctrl+F7) and Previous Changed Character (Ctrl+Shift+F7) commands.

    beta 13 (21.8.913) – August 3, 2022

    • Adjusted scroll speed when selecting beyond the view border.
    • Fixed a potential issue where the Only Word option in Replace might not work correctly at the end of line in a very large file.

    • The new version of the Word Complete plug-in allows you to press Ctrl+Space for the Down key, and Ctrl+Shift+Space for the Up key while the candidate list is displayed.
