Today I saw a developer using Notepad2, he copied the entire content of a document with one command: Copy All.
In EmEditor we need to select all, then copy.
I realize selecting and copying all the text is done quite often, why not to add such a feature to EmEditor?

I vote against!
Reason: too much; too much to develope, too much to test, and do regression testing, too much to learn, too much!
If one key stroke is too much for you, why don’t you write what to me seems like the simplest macro and assign it a shortcut key (my recommendation: SHIFT-CTRL-A,or SHIFT-CTRL-C – the combination of CTRL-A and CTRL-C.)

March 5, 2013 at 11:17 pm #10880XXCloneManMemberI’m against adding silly features that can easily done otherwise.
A good design in tools come from the versatiilty of primitive functions that can be combined to build powerful combinations. Having zillions of specialized features is really a bad idea.
I’m voting NO.
