In Windows applications Alt-DownArrow hotkey shows the dropdown lists of comboboxes, history of addresses in browser’s address bar, history of typed searches in search field of some browsers (FF2), and even Microsoft Word, one of the text editors’ grandfathers allows easy access to previously executed searches in the “Find” field by just firing Alt-Down.
So please incorporate this AltDown facility in the Find / Replace dialog to show respectively find or replace history according to the current text field the cursor is in.
p.s. Presently I substitute the wanted behaviour with my system-wide AutoHotKey scripts, just another few lines of ahk code to make things perfect :-)
