I have recently implemented a copy of the “dynamic snippets” feature that was made popular in editors like TextMate, using EmEditor macros. To see what I am talking about, take a look at the following links screencast movies:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jWWCYS-GjMkThis is one of the features that I was hoping the snippets plugin could do, but it’s not quite there yet, so I wrote the functionality myself using macros instead of a plugin. I don’t have screencast movies for EmEditor yet because I don’t know how to make the movies or upload them to YouTube.
The macros are pretty clear to understand, but designed just for my own use. If anyone is interested, please reply to this message and I will see if I can upload them for general use by other EmEditor users. If there is enough interest that will help me determine if I should spend time on cleaning them up and making them available to others.
