How do I transfer the license from one device to a different device?

To transfer your license to a new device, you will need to unregister EmEditor from your current device and register on the new device.

1. If you have the desktop version of EmEditor, we recommend uninstalling the program. The uninstaller will automatically unregister your device.
   • You can alternatively unregister by going to Help > Registration Information. Click the Unregister button. This method is necessary for the portable and Microsoft Store versions, as they do not have an uninstaller.
2. On the new device, install EmEditor.
3. Open EmEditor and go to Help > Registration Information and click Sign In/Enter Registration Key. You can register with your registration key or Customer Center credentials.
