The Desktop Installer version of EmEditor Professional (v24.1.1 or later) must be installed.
The portable and store app versions don’t support the Windows 11 modern context menu.

Select Customize on the Tools menu, select the Shortcut page, and ensure all the following check boxes are set:

– Display a tray icon to the task bar

– Display a tray icon when Windows Starts

– Add a shortcut to the Windows 11 Context Menu in Explorer

If the EmEditor tray icon still does not appear in the notification area of the Windows taskbar, go to Task Manager, select Startup Apps, and ensure emedtray.exe is enabled.
