Today, we are releasing EmEditor v19.8.3.

Updates from v19.8.2 include:

  • Fixed a bug where EmEditor could crash after a replace using regular expressions under a certain condition.

If you are using the Desktop Installer version, and use the Update Checker to update from versions older than v19.8.0, you will need to select the Check for Updates twice. This is due to the digital signature renewal and issues related to the Update Checker. Please make sure the current version is v19.8.3 before using EmEditor. We apologize for any inconveniences.

If you use the Desktop Installer version, you can select Check for Updates on the Help to download the newest version. If you use the Desktop portable version, you can go to the Download page to download the newest version.   • Fixed a bug where opening a binary file and selecting the “Select Encoding form List” option did not show the encoding list.
  • Fixed a bug where EmEditor could suddenly close after a Find or Replace under a certain condition.
