EE v17.7beta eeCompare report use the new delimiter “│” character to separate the comparison data items.
But if the text files includes the “│” character, especially in some files use the “│” character to draw the text table or square box…etc.
EE v17.7beta will unable to display eeCompare report properly, and it will show “Inconsistent number of columns detected”.May 10, 2018 at 1:54 pm #23155Yutaka EmuraKeymasterThe next beta version will quote those cells that contain the delimiter or double quotes.
Thanks!May 13, 2018 at 7:52 pm #23168skyParticipantIn v17.6.93, still unable to display eeCompare report properly for the “│” character.
And the new quote mark in eeCompare report, can not be hidden in CSV mode, it will look more complicated. For example:

Please go to the CSV page of the Customize dialog box, select │from the list, and set the Allow delimiters in double quotes check box. I will make this default on the next version. Thank you! - AuthorPosts
